Dr. Frank Calvagna is currently a full time faculty member in
the Division of Science at Rock Valley
College. His doctoral studies in chemistry were completed at Northern Illinois University where his
Ph.D. research was focused on the development and study of novel solid
state compounds.
Frank is also very active in the regional music scene
as guitarist / composer and performs regularly in the Chicago,
Milwaukee, Rockford area with his jazz group, Opan Jii, and other
