Contact Information

Text Only

Email:
The most effective way to contact me is via e-mail.  Within the EdNet system, simply type my name in the “To:” field.  Outside the system, the full address is

Be sure to include the "ednet." before rockvalleycolege.edu.  I can check my email from my office and at home, and usually do so several times a day, including most weekends.

Telephone:
A much less effective way to reach me is voice mail, mainly due to how seldom I check it.  This number (921-3453) is to a phone in my office.  When I am on campus, I am often either in a classroom or at a meeting.  When I am in my office, I am usually helping students with their questions.  None of these are times when I readily answer a ringing telephone.  You may use this number if you wish but (a) don't expect anything other than voice mail, and (b) don't expect me to get your message right away.

Office/Hours:
My office is located in CLII, room 209.  Office hours this semester are posted outside my office and can also be accessed from the main page of this website.  Specific office hours are provided on a printed syllabus given to students on the first day of class.

EdNet Class Conference:
I set up conferences on EdNet for most of the classes that I teach.  If I have set one up for our class, you are responsible for checking it to get updates on assignments, exam dates, and so on.  This is also a forum for you to ask questions about what we’re doing, and you will find helpful exam review tips there as well.  If you use this as a way to contact me, please understand that anything you post to the conference can be read by any other student in our class.  If you want to contact me about anything even remotely personal, please use my personal email address.

Each of you has an EdNet account whether you know it or not.  If you have ever used it, you can simply click on the class conference icon that you will find on your desktop.  If you are not familiar with EdNet, please visit  http://ednet.rvc.cc.il.us.  Anything you want to know about it can be found there, along with instructions on how to download EdNet to your home computer for free.
